Engineering
Refrigeration
Natural refrigerants, future-proof systems, intelligent control. We plan and build refrigeration systems for supermarkets, logistics centres, catering and industry – vendor-independent, on open protocols, fully integrated into your building automation.

What we deliver
R290 & brine
Natural refrigerants – future-proof under the EU F-gas regulation. GWP 3 instead of far higher.
Adaptive defrost
Only when there is ice on the evaporator – not by schedule. Considerable savings in defrost energy in comparable reference plants*.
HACCP documentation
Automatic, tamper-proof, paperless. Report for the food-safety authority at a click.
Predictive maintenance
Detect creeping drift before the compressor fails – no loss of goods, no emergency call-out.
Typical scope
- We analyse your plant on site with load-profile recording – free of charge and without obligation
- We calculate profitability to VDI 2067 with documented assumptions
- We recommend vendor-neutrally – what fits the property, not a supplier's product range
- We integrate the plant into your existing BMS – across manufacturers
- We check funding eligibility and support the application
Frequently asked questions
Practical questions from our consulting – answered honestly
How exactly does adaptive defrost work?
EC fans on the evaporator act as a sensor: when ice builds up on the evaporator, the air resistance and the fans' power consumption rise. The system detects this rise and starts a defrost. If there is no ice, the evaporator keeps running without defrosting. This saves the energy of unnecessary defrost cycles and reduces temperature fluctuations in the chilled goods. In comparable reference plants* we achieve considerable savings in defrost energy. Your actual saving depends on the operation and the plant.
As a food business, am I obliged to keep HACCP documentation?
Yes. Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 requires an HACCP concept and complete documentation from every business that produces, processes or stores food. The food-safety authority can inspect unannounced at any time. Missing or incomplete documentation risks fines and, in repeat cases, closure of the business. Our system documents automatically – with no extra effort for you.
Is a smart retrofit worthwhile, or is a new plant the better choice?
That is a trade-off we calculate specifically for you. If the plant is mechanically sound and its refrigerant is not being banned, a retrofit is often more economical – because you save most of the investment. If the plant is worn out, the refrigerant is an F-gas that will soon be banned, or a new plant would be significantly more efficient, a new build pays off. We tell you honestly what makes sense in your case – even if that means we earn less.
How is the waste heat from my refrigeration plant used for heating?
A heat exchanger on the condenser transfers the waste heat into the heating circuit or the hot-water system. The BMS coordinates the priorities: waste heat takes precedence over the heat pump and the gas boiler. The amount of heat actually usable depends on the cooling capacity, the temperature level and the simultaneous heating demand – we calculate this per project.
* Ranges for COP values, efficiencies and savings are empirical values from comparable reference plants and not a guarantee for a specific property. We only make binding statements after an on-site analysis, load-profile recording and a property-specific calculation to VDI 2067. Manufacturer and component names are deliberately not mentioned – selection is made per project and vendor-neutrally.
